Booking Toxic Narcotic! Toxic Narcotic currently handles all of our own booking. If you are interested in booking the band please read the following! It may answer some of your questions before you contact us! 1. When the band is not on tour we cannot play shows that are more than 4-6 hours away from Boston, MA! If you are from somewhere far away please get in touch with info about you and the venue you book shows at and we will get in touch when we are planning a tour. Please get in touch because we always need new contacts! When asked why we have never played in your town the usual answer is that we had no contacts for someone willing to book us! 2. We do not headline shows with more than four other bands on the show! No matter how popular the last band is people get bored at marathon shows. From fifteen years of experience we know that it always sucks to be the last band on a 10-band show! If you want us on a big show put us on in the middle somewhere or don’t bother asking us to play! 3. Unless it is a legitimate cause or benefit that we agree with, we do not play for free! Let’s get something straight, we are broke, we all work for a living and have bills to pay! Presently one of the members is homeless and two work on weekends as well as weekdays! For the band to play a show some members have to miss work. Even when we get paid to play a show it barely covers expenses. Anyone that has been in a band knows how much it costs just to upkeep a van and pay for gas. If you want us to play you have to pay us what’s fair! 4. Since we believe in the true ethic of DIY Punk we work each show out on an individual basis. If you like the band, please respect all the hard work it takes to remain DIY and stay together for fifteen years by treating us fair when we come to play your town or show!
